Brains was brought to our flat the morning the lockdown was announced, she wasn’t used to be locked in a small flat with 5 other roommates, she was a free spirit running in the fields of Ein Vered, chasing mice and birds. In the beginning, she felt totally out of space and hid in the lavatory room. She disappeared for 2 days, we thought she freed herself by jumping from the balcony, but on the early morning of the third day while I practiced my meditation, I felt a furry jump on the sofa followed by a near-silent purr, with my eyes closed I felt her wet nose caressing my backhand, from that moment on we become BFF, she was my trusted companion for my meditations and the first one I met in the morning. After few weeks when the trust between us grew, she was following me all over the house, I even let her join me to the elevator, to my car and to the grocery and back, she was sitting on my shopping cart, when we passed in the animal food section she raised her hand and howled, I bought few cans of meat she was pointing at. When we got back home, she was circling and purring around the newly bought cans, I opened a can for her, as a sign of gratitude she circled me and rubbed against my leg, after finishing her meal she jumped purring straight into my lap. Orly said that those are definitely signs of love and she is jealous.

Then I started to speak with her, we had our morning sessions, right after dawn when I finished my meditation, I used to ask her questions, and translated her howling, purring and gestures. Here are some examples:

What is your name?

Miyya

What is your religion?

Grrrrr…Grooor

What do you think about viruses?

It is nature sign to say that you are stupid, I am not speaking personally about you because I am madly in love with you, I am speaking generally about the human race

I will stop here before you’ll think I am totally crazy.
