People suggested me to have an online course about the FLY technique so I started to search the net about tutorials to learn how to do it, how to deliver to the world the knowledge I have accumulated in the 25 years I am creating art and the 12 years I am teaching the FLY method of self-expression
The more I dig into this issue I realized that the most important issue is to have a clear definition of what is my message?
who am I?
what I have to offer to the world?
in other words, what is my gift to other human beings?
First, let’s define a gift — my definition of a gift is a delivery that makes you wiser or happier, think about what would you expect from a gift? Obviously to be happy when you receive it and if you learn something out of it, it’s a surprising bonus.
FLY stands for Free the Life within You and it makes people happy, I know that for sure from the many workshops I delivered around the globe, but I think the real bonus is the feeling of emancipation, meaning the deep notion that we are not dependent on other people or fancy tools for our self-expression that our ability to fully express ourselves is out there in any moment in our lives, all we need is a paper or canvas and few colors and if there are no brushes we can use sticks or our fingers, all we need is available around us, we just need to decide to pause in time and dedicate some moments for our creative life. from my experience, it is always rewarding. I never heard a participant in my FLY workshops saying at the end of the session, I feel I wasted my time I would rather be in my office. It never happened and I believe never would happen the reason for that is that any opportunity to express ourselves, to be connected with our inner self is a gift and, a precious experience that people usually would remember and try to replicate. As I don’t think we will hear a dying man say, I have only one regret in my life, that I didn’t spend more time in my office, no, we’ll never hear that because we remember the outstanding and extraordinary and the warmth of human connections in our lives, we won’t remember another day in the office or another routine day in our lives but we will definitely remember a day we took off and dedicated to ourselves to relinquish our creativity, the more we accumulate days like that the more confident we become with our choices. The freedom to decide to dedicate time to creativity is one of the most important assets we have. What is the worth of a billion dollars in the bank if the owner of this enormous wealth can’t take the time to write a song or paint an artwork because he is too busy making more money? I met and interviewed extremely rich people and I can tell you for sure that most of their days are routine they conduct a mundane life though it seems glamorous because of their fancy houses and private planes, I had some of those mega-rich people in my workshops, most of them felt free and played like children splashing in the flowing colors using their arms and fingers totally opposite from their suit and ties behavior there were some of those mega-rich that couldn’t pass their criticism stage and couldn’t get out of their freak control mood, I feel sorry for those people and I feel happy for all those that can move out of their comfort zones and say, I am here and I am here to participate and play. This, I believe, is my gift to the world to offer those playful unforgettable creative moments in each human life.
